AGARTALA, April 11 (TIWN): Finally after the big-fall, the opposition CPI-M leaders are now leaving arrogance and openly accepting flaws which downed the party under former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar led a massive defeat with BJP in 2018's election. Addressing a press conference, Bijan Dhar said, "It is a fact that there were political narrowness. Ofcourse there were party's organizational weakness and the CPI-M Govt's works led by various local offices were sometimes not satisfactory in the sense of implementation, due to political narrowness". "In few places complaints of corruption time to time used to come. It's not that we didn't try to stop those things but there were flaws in organizational strength in the party. We will identify such facts and causes", Dhar said. While replying media questions on this particular topic, Bijan Dhar said, "We talked in the general sense, not tagetting any particular organization. But it has to be checked. After all a govt can't run without social organizations which led the corruption".
TIWN-1 week survey revealed recently, "All thieves and corrupt officials, opportunistic who are trying to make spaces now in BJP, following CPI-M’s defeat, were also responsible for the hatred created against the left among the public, as since the beginning they were enjoying the fruits of Left Govt's "Beneficiary Setups".
We also reported, "The arrogance and 25 years’ power hangover which CPI-M yet to overcome, will turn more dangerous for the party. Tripura would prefer anyother anti-BJP party as Congress or Trinamool rather than CPI-M for a long time".
However, now CPI-M have accepted the corruptions, but it is after the big loss, which has also affected the party movement Nationally.
It may be recalled, recently in the Assembly CPI-M MLA Bhanu Lal Saha sought party offices to do 'penance'. However, he said it comically.
