AGARTALA, April 10 (TIWN): Horticulture, which is totally a different chapter than the tradition agricultural field, has finally received a special focus in this NITI Aayog's Forum led meeting, which launched today at Agartala for Northeastern states in a historical glance.

On March-27, it TIWN first to highlight how, the Horticulture was never given priority in Tripura. 

It’s not that Agriculture graduates do not understand Horticulture and  Horticulture students don’t understand Agriculture, but as an Agricultural graduate will understand the subject in better than horticulture, in the same manner, a Horticulture degree holder understands the Horticulture at the best.

Horticulture will now play a crucial role for productivity, when Tripura Govt has aimed Pineapple and Orange productions for Agro-economy. 

NITI-forum has set 5 mission today for Northeast development : 1) Horticulture, 2) Tourism, 3) Bamboo production, 4) Made-in-Northeast, 5) Food processing.
