KAMALPUR, September 1 (TIWN): The demand for conversion of ADC to Non ADC village in Apareshkar led to the community battle in the village. Though the matter was solved in the presence of police.

They had submitted a deputation to the District Magistrate and Sub-divisional Magistrate earlier. Revenue Inspector Shyamal Debbarma and Tahasildar Ajit Nag had visited the site and enquired about their demand.

According to the local sources, from the past 2003, thousands of residents of Ramsadhu, Rammanik and Rambashi Para under Apareskar village demanded the conversion of ADC to Non ADC. Their prominent point of demand is that about 95% of the villagers are Bengali based community. For only 5%
the Government by violating law had declared this as ADC.

At the same time the Government had also transferred the Land Patta to the tribal people whereas in case of Bengalis there is objection. It is also to be mentioned that this is a non political movement. In one word an ordinary village had converted to tribal village.

Being disappointed of this the villagers had submitted a deputation to SDM & DM. When DCM Samajoy Tripura visit the village tribal people had gheroed him and demanded no Conversion of village.

DCM helplessly called for protection from Police and at last TSR jawans had  tackled the situation.
