AGARTALA, April 10 (TIWN): The Ministers lane of Tripura at Agartala Fire Brigade Chowmuhani, where from CM to all Ministers live, has been renamed with Dr Syama Prasad Mukharjee's name.

As the previous govt was Communists so they chosed  "Marx Engels Sarani" as the name of their Ministers entrance led by Ex-Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Now after BJP has formed its govt here, the name has been changed with their ideal  Dr Syama Prasad Mukharjee.

However, when the Dr Syama Prasad Mukharjee name was found in the entrance, but at the same time  "Marx Engels Sarani" banner was thrown mercilessly in a drain. 

Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (06 July 1901 – 23 June 1953) was an Indian politician, barrister and academician, who served as Minister of Industry and Supply in Prime Minister Jawharlal Nehru 's cabinet. After falling out with Nehru, Mukherjee quit the Indian National Congress and founded the right wing nationalist Bharatiya Jana Sangh, a predecessor to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in 1951.
