AGARTALA, April 4 (TIWN): The name of Agartala Airport has been replaced across official internet searched after Tripura's King-Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya.
According to Wikipedia as well as in internet searches also the name of Agartala Airport has been changed. Across google searches there is no mention about "Agartala Airport" anymore. Now everywhere it has been said, “Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur Airport also known as Agartala Airport and formerly known as Singerbhil Airport is a domestic airport located 12 kilometres northwest of the city of Agartala, the capital of the state of Tripura in India”.
Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Airport or Agartala Airport, which is the second busiest Airport of Northeast is a domestic airport located 12 kilometres northwest of the city of Agartala.
It is administered by the Airports Authority of India and already work for International Airport has started inside the Airport.
BJP before coming in power had announced about the renaming of Agartal Airport. Bir Bikram Kishore Debbarman Manikya Bahadur was a king of Tripura State. He was the king before the merger of Tripura with India.
