AGARTALA, March 30 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb today has advised engineers at Pragna Bhawan to take attempts to build Japan like houses for earthquake prone Tripura.

CM was addressing in Pragna Bhawan in a workshop organized on Disaster Management.

CM explained 'Japan-like' houses' importance in Tripura, the state which falls among the top-5 states with high earthquake chances.

The programme was conducted with the joint venture of Indian Building Congress, Tripura Centre, West Bengal  Centre of Tamilnadu and CPWD, Tripura zone & NIT.

IBC Chairman Er C Debnath,  DG CPWD Er Abhai Kr. Sinha,  Vice Chairman Er S K Nandi also remained present in the programme.
