AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb today asked media not to blame police's poor cyber knowledge, rather to blame him as it's his duty to shape up police dept with cyber intelligence.
CM was addressing media at Agartala on Thursday.
Media asked him, "There were various cases filed against fake account holders in Tripura but those cases have been pending for long. Even there are fake accounts in the name of the present Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Ex-CM Manik Sarkar, but police earlier also could do nothing and today also they are failed to do anything. How do you see the matter?"
In reply Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, "Don't blame police, rather blame me directly as I am the Home Minister". However, developments are going on in all cases. Yesterday night also work on this was held and as I am the Minister so I have to do everything by myself".
"In one day I can't upgrade everything. Nobody here worked in Cyber intelligence earlier. Now, Tripura is upgrading and in my own office also everything has been digitized recently"
"The world has developed a lot, but Tripura is still lagging behind. But now we have focused specially on E-Governance and it's our belief that we will be successful to stop such cyber crimes fully in coming days", he said.
"Few names also have been gathered and surely they will be punished. The people who are doing such activities are fools, totally ignorant about cyber crimes and that's why they are doing all these", said CM.
