AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN): After West Bengal Assembly passed bill on 17 % reservation for OBC, Tripura OBC people have demanded the reservation bill for them to be passed in the next state Assembly, as it was promised by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi before the Election.
Already queries have set in debate why the BJP Govt is delaying the reservation bill to be passed in the Assembly ? In this Assembly also there was no talk regarding that.
Before the Election, BJP OBC Morcha held various protests, staged demonstration demanding equal reservation for OBCs as per the Cenre’s rule.
On the onset of the Assembly Election, Uttar Pradesh CM Aditya Nath Yogi during his two day visit said on 13th February, "Tripura CPI-M Govt has not yet implemented reservations for the OBC here. After BJP comes in power, we will implement reservation for the OBC too".
"BJP trusts in Sab-Ka-Sath, Sab-Ka-Bikash policy. Based on cast, we don't play any politics. But reservation is the rights of OBC just like other backward casts. Unfortunately even after ruling for 25 years, the Communist Govt couldn't allocate reservation for them", Yogi further said on that day.
However, now after the election, OBC people are demanding immediate action to pass the reservation bill in Tripura.
