AGARTALA, March 28 (TIWN): The last day of Tripura Assembly was fueled at the very beginning regarding CPI-M members' resignations across Tripura Panchayat, Municipal Corporations. The issue was raised by CPI-M MLA Sudhan Das in the Assembly alleging BJP is forcing the CPI-M members to resign from their designated posts. In reply the Chief Minister said, "The law is same for all and govt is working in that manner. If any unlawful activity is found then action will must be taken". BJP MLA Asish Saha said, "It's up to the person who will resigns or not and while placing resignation at Panchayat the exact cause behind each resignation was given. Nowhere they mentioned that they were forced to resign. BJP Minister Pranajit Sinha Roy said, "In case of Udaipur, when such an incident happened, CM himself interrogated into the matter and requested him to go to office".

Speaker of the Assembly asked the CPI-M leaders whether they have lodged any FIR  in that matter or not. "Without FIR how can you continue such allegation"? the speaker asked.

CPI-M MLA Ratan Bhowmik said, "In case of Udaipur, Subrata Deb, who is not only the councilor but also a renowned journalist was attacked in his own office and bound him to leave office. Ofcourse after the matter spread, the Udaipur resident Minister and CM requested Subrata Deb to continue office. My question is if in a town like Udaipur such an incident can happens, what will be the condition of other rural and ADC areas. So what we want to request the CM to restore the peace, so that oppositions are not suffered  !"
