Uproars in Assembly Day-2 after CPI-M raises IPFT's money extortion issue : Verbal clash erupts among IPFT & CPI-M leaders

AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Chaos leads Tripura Assembly Day-2 during CPI-M MLA Badal Choudhury's speech. Badal Choudhury raised categorically various issues in the Assembly, among them the IPFT led alleged money-extortion was the most sensitive issue. Badal Choudhury's statement was also a reply to Minister Ratan Lal Nath, who accused Ex-Chief Minister Manik Sarkar as responsible behind each violence conducted since 1993 Ratan Lal Nath also said, "This is the first Election, after which nobody died in post-poll violence". Badal Choudhury raised issues of CPI-M party offices burning and also accused BJP, IPFT for occupying of CPI-M party offices. "When state govt trying to tell the people that the situations are going on normally in Tripura, in reality IPFT led by NC Debbarma are trying to take money forcefully from the common men !", Choudhury said.

IPFT MLAs immediately protested, saying, "You were asked to talk on Governor's speech. Why are you bringing NC Debbarma here ?"

But Badal Chowdhury went on, "We never compromised or bowed our heads before the IPFT who play with people's blood".

Another IPFT MLA said, "What your CPI-M Govt has done for the tribals in last 25 years ?"

Speaker Rebati Mohon Das was trying to end the issue by repeatedly telling Badal Choudhury to talk "content-wise".

The CPI-M MLA also mentioned, BJP Govt can't produce much revenue. In reply, Jishnu Debbarma said, "What you know about economics. In last 25 years, only scams and corruptions were held by your govt".

At that time Sudip Barman, Ratan Lal Nath, Jishnu Debbarma raised the issue of 25 years corruptions of CPI-M. In reply, Choudhury said, “If you think CPI-M did corruption, why don’t you run investigation against us ?”

MLA  Tapan Chakraborty also mentioned about the post poll violence, whereas Manik Sarkar requested Chief Minister Biplab Deb to restore the peace.
