AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN):Advocate General Arun Kanti Bhowmik while addressing on the occasion of 5th anniversary of Tripura High Court’s establishment claimed, “In last 5 years High Court through its historical verdicts have created public opinions, brought a revolution and fought against corruptionsâ€.
“The changing of public opinions made the political change also possible and led the administrative changes finally”, he said.
“Due to the change in public opinion a wave against corruption was created and the political change therefore”, Bhowmik said.
“After the change it’s also the duty of the Chief Minister and his govt to ensure that the fundamental rights of public are not violated and a rule of law is there”, he said.
However, senior justice of High Court SubashishTalapatra on Bhowmik’s claims said, "Not only the 5 years can be considered for Tripura's change but it was Tripura's king who formed an Anglo Saxon model of justice system long back in 1913 and the King was too advanced to talk about Universal Education on that time. Moreover, we are just doing our duties and works".
