AGARTALA, March 22 (TIWN): At least 15 bikes were stolen in last 6 months from the AGMC hostel, the hostel students said.
In this week also one bike was stolen but police have failed to identify the culprits. Protesting against the 'lack of security', the students blocked road at GB today.
The agitators also demanded CCTV cameras' installation in the hostel.
They raised the following demands :
1) To avail the drinking water facilities : Since years, the students are suffering from drinking water crisis inside the hostel. Doctors and other staffs in quarter are also left in similar miserable condition. With that issue the students have raised voice today and blocked the road on behalf of all sufferers,
2) Students demanded to mitigate the security threats inside the GB complex,
3) To find out the bike thieves as soon possible. In last 6 month at least 15 bikes were stolen but police failed to recover a single bike.
