AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): With a new development, it has been informed that the Agriculture Officer recruitment (Adv No. wpc1393-2017) process which TPSC started during election season, violating model code of conduct will face the High Court now. The charges are heavy and there are strong grounds based on which Agriculture Dept’s graduates are going to file a case against TPSC. Allegations are not single, but multiple ! First of all, TPSC conducted the interview for the Agriculture Officer post during election, also without waiting for High Court’s final verdict in the case. The interview which TPSC was delaying since years (since 2016) suddenly after the Govt changed, it conducted the interview on March 10 and distributed “unsealed” question papers to candidates on March 10. Not only “unsealed question papers”, but TPSC also distributed same sets (Set-A) of question papers to all students in the hall, which is against the rule of TPSC itself.

Thus the graduates of Agriculture Dept. have decided to file a case against TPSC so that the exam can be conducted again with fresh advertisement.

The grounds of the case primarily are :

  1. Same sets of question papers were distribution in a hall (Set-A), (nobody got Sec-B, Set C and in OMR sheet and all candidates wrote set A),
  2. Unsealed question papers' distribution,
  3. Making wrong and confusing question set, which can have multiple answers,
  4. Out of 17 Agricultural subjects 60 % came from Agronomy which is West Bengal Prof, Asish Saha’s subject (who is also ruling TPSC viva exams since Left regime) and 30 % from Soil Science and only 10 % from rest 14 subjects, which have deprived maximum students,
  5. The issue of phone call-threat to petitioners by Agriculture Director D P Sarkar’s office will be raised, which has been recorded by the petitioners.
  6. TPSC also collected 10 years question sets from Agriculture College’s Principal which matched 20-30 % questions, whereas TPSC should be an independent body rather than depending upon Agriculture Dept.
  7. TPSC can’t be trusted, as many times it was warned by High Court.

Now with all these, a fresh case will be filed against TPSC by the eligible candidates, today the candidates told TIWN.
