AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Deputy Chief Minister cum Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarma have reached Delhi, when state is facing terrible fund crisis, following a 25 years of CPI-M regime.
Rs. 15.50 crores of negative balances was reported by the state Finance Minister on yesterday.However, to place the demands before central govt, both the top leaders of state reached Delhi.
They also talked to speaker of the Parliament (Lok Sabha) Sumitra Mahajan.
Noteworthy, when state Tripura is suffering from a loss over Rs. 11.50 crore, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that the Central government will extend full support to reverse the situation in the region.
"We have to come up with inadequacies of resources of the deficit state. If we tell northeast to live on its own resources, it will take one day for the region to break, so it our responsibility to support and give a special attention to the region," Jaitley said
