AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Friday while interacting with media after the Janata-Durbar was conducted for the first time in Tripura said, "The Janata Durbar is not new, neither I am doing any extra ordinary. It was there also under Narendra Modi's Chief Ministry at Gujarat and already other states have implemented it. But for Tripura, it has been implemented for the first time"."Govt is answerable to the Janata and that's why the Janata Durbar is. From now Govt will be noting down the problems, will end the problems and will inform the complainers. Govt of People should be like this and such direct system was introduced by Narendra Modi during his Chief Ministry", Deb said.'Janata's Durbar' is a direct communication method of public with the CM, via which they can place their problems before him. This system was introduced for the first time in Tripura.

Replying media questions, what kinds of problems were raised by the public today, CM said, "They raised various problems. Many people are victims by land-mafias, then there were hospital problems, school education, industrial problems".

"Due to lack of cooperation as well as knowledge, public are roaming from Panchayat door to offices, offices to Ministers, Ministers to Directors and with all these 6 months go without any development. That's why the direct communication system is necessary, so that Govt directly can listen to the problems of public", CM told media.

Apart from that Biplab Deb will also talk to the common men face to face regarding their problems on each Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 8 AM to 9 AM.
