AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): 21 Assam Rifles under the ageis of 21 Sector Assam Rifles Observed World Consumer Rights Day and to promote awareness among the people organized a lecture on consumer rights in Ajgar Tilla Khowai today.

 The lecture was delivered by Mr. Anil Chandra Das, Asst. Director, Consumer Forum of Khowai District. The theme for  World Consumer Rights Day 2018 is "Making Digital Marketplaces Fairer". Keeping in mind the theme for this year special emphasis was given to promote digital marketplaces and E-commerce and making them more accessible, fairer & safer for the consumers. 

In the end the audience were also given leaflets printed in local language for better understanding of the consumer rights.

The sincere and selfless efforts of the Assam Rifles to promote the awareness in the far flung areas was highly appreciated by the locals.
