AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi in BJP's swearing-in programme at Agartala claimed that after this election, the whole Nation will be looking at the Northeast zone with a different perspective. “I never targeted Northeast with election purpose, but this time Northeast has experienced a different focus from each corners of the nation’. ‘Few elections are analysed, discussed for a long time and Tripura election will be one of such elections will be remembered in history in long-runâ€, said Modi. PM urged all the opposition MLAs to help the newly appointed BJP MLAs so that the work becomes easier across departments. "The MLAs who have been elected either from the opposition or from the ruling, I believe all will be working with full cooperation for the development of the state", Modi said.
"The opposition MLAs of Tripura are experienced as they were in power for a long time, but our new team is totally fresh and their ages are also less. The newly elected people at the same time have new aims, dreams and enthusiasm to work. If the team of opposition and the ruling works together Tripura will reach on the height of development very soon", added Modi.
"I want to confirm, the people who voted for us, the Govt is also for them and those we have not voted for us the Govt is also for them. Election is over. Now, Tripura's problems should be sorted out by the newly charged Govt. The public-problem is our problem and will be trying with our highest efforts to bring solution to the problems of the common men", said Modi.
"In the past four years I have come to northeast India more than 25 times -- this is much more than what previous Prime Ministers did after independence. This confirms how much the Centre is concerned for the development and welfare of northeast India.", Modi said.
He said people wanted the government to work for their well-being and prosperity. "Democracy will be reinforced when people participate in it wholeheartedly.
