AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN: Marking history, BJP to form its maiden Govt in Tripura today in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At 12 PM the oath taking programme to begin at Agartala Assam Rifles ground. According to sources from various corners of the state people to gather including deep rural, ADC and hilly areas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi after landing, from Agartala Airport to travel via car for Assam Rifles ground and completing the oath taking ceremony, PM Modi will leave Agartala in the afternoon. BJP has claimed to mark the oath taking ceremony as 'historical'. Tomorrow along with PM Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Ananta Kumar, Thawar Chand Gehlot, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also be present on that occasion at Assam Rifles ground.
Both Congress and CPI-M have congratulated BJP which is all set to form its Govt in Tripura.
However, CPI-M to boycott the swearing-in ceremony of BJP CM and Ministers, whereas Manik Sarkar, Badal Choudhury and other ex-Ministers who are in station will attend Biplab Deb and other BJP Ministers' swearing-in programme, in a press meet CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar told media.
"We will avoid the programme as a part of protest against the ongoing violence led by BJP across state", alleged Dhar.
Yesterday, before the swearing-in programme of the BJP Govt, the designated CM Biplab Deb, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhab have met Manik Sarkar at the Melarmath Party Office in the evening. Manik Sarkar who has been shifted from Chief Minister's residence to Melarmath Party Office on yesterday had welcomed the BJP delegates with smiling face and folding hands. The BJP leaders also talked to the CM personally and went inside the party office. Other CPI-M leaders as Bijan Dhar also welcomed the BJP delegates in the party office.
