AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): CPI-M to boycott the swearing-in ceremony of BJP CM and Ministers, whereas Manik Sarkar, Badal Choudhury and other ex-Ministers who are in station will attend Biplab Deb and other BJP Ministers' swearing-in programme, in a press meet CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar told media.
"We will avoid the programme as a part of protest against the ongoing violence led by BJP across state", alleged Dhar.
"Today we have complained about the ongoing violence in Tripura to the CEO Sriram Taranikanti. We have also demanded to reschedule the Charilam Election as CPI-M activists are unable to come out of home. Our Charilam candidate Palash Debbarma is now out of Charilam", he said.
CPI-M has also announced total 1704 people have lost their houses and party offices have been burnt, vandalized. Total 193 houses were also burnt.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held tomorrow at Assam Rifles ground at 12 PM.
