Himanta Biswa Sarma settled down Ministerial posts-sharing with IPFT : Returns to Assam

AGARTALA, March 7 (TIWN): Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has visited in Tripura today after meeting NC Debbarma and other IPFT leaders of the state. Tripura BJP's Ministers list to be announced within tomorrow even though already via social media a rough Ministers list have become viral which is showing IPFT have received two seats including N C Debbarma and Mebar Kumar Jamatia. After meeting the IPFT leaders Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced, "Today I met Sri NC Debbarma and all elected MLAs and office bearers of Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) in Agartala and finalised the architecture of the cooperation between BJP Tripura and IPFT for the new government in Tripura".After leaving Tripura, Himanta again tweeted, "I have just returned from Agartala and with all my conviction I wish to reassure that Tripura is completely calm & peaceful. The impression about the so-called unrest & fear that few media houses are trying to propagate is outright exaggeration & completely unwarranted".

On the other side, centering oath taking ceremony of the new state Ministers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top Central Ministers visits in Tripura preparations on peak. The Central Ministers are : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Ananta Kumar, Thawar Chand Gehlot.Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also be present on that occasion.

BJP National leaders Amit Shah, Ramlal also to be present on that occasion. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Biplab Kumar Deb will assume office on Friday as the 11th Chief Minister of Tripura, where the BJP voted out the Left Front after 25 years, in the February 18 polls. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari earlier on Tuesday announced here that Tripura BJP President Deb will be the new Chief Minister while the party's tribal leader Jishnu Debbarma will be the Deputy Chief Minister.

Earlier, the newly-elected MLAs of the BJP and its ally -- Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) -- met here in the presence of central observers Gadkari and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram and elected Deb as leader of the party's Legislature Party.

After the announcement, Deb, accompanied by other BJP leaders, met Governor Tathagata Roy at the Raj Bhavan and staked claim to form the government.

After an hour-long meeting with Roy, the Chief Minister-designate told reporters: "The Governor has appointed me the Chief Minister. The swearing-in-ceremony of the BJP ministry will take place at the Assam Rifles ground on Friday at 12 noon."
