AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): BJP is forming a combination of Bengali and Tribal leaders in the topmost position of the state cabinet as after the meeting among Central Ministers and newly elected BJP winner candidates were held, BJP announced that Party president Biplab Deb to be the Chief Minister of Tripura and Jishnu Debbarma to become the Deputy CM.
Following the meeting, Biplab Deb went to Raj Bhawan to meet the Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy demanding to form the next Govt in Tripura.
Noteworthy, Jishnu Debbarma and Biplab Deb are the BJP leaders who since their early political careers have been in BJP. Since 2013 Jishnu Debbarma's name came out as a strong opposition leader from BJP.
This year Jishnu Debbarma is a candidate for Charilam Assembly, where the election has been postponed due to CPI-M candidate's death. On March 12 the election will be conducted.
