AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): Observing the sensitivity of the ongoing post-counting tensed situations across the hilly state, West Dist DM has imposed Section 144 in his District’s sensitive places (from 8 PM to 6 AM) after holding a meeting with SP West today.In a press release, DM Millind Ramteke said, “A requisition has been received from SP West regarding imposing of prohibitory order under the areas of 13 number of Police Stations…………In my opinion there is apprehension of post-counting violence of serious nature within next few days which may lead disruption of peace and tranquility and law and order problems in various locations”.Thus DM has issued the order of Section-144’s imposing for today and tomorrow from 8 PM to 6 AM each day.

Gathering of many people together have also been prohibited and it was announced that beyond 4 persons gathering and carrying of any stone, stick etc will be taken as an ‘offence’.

Areas brought under Section-144 are Border Golchakkar, Dasamighat Abasan, Kalikapur, Ranjitnagar, PEC Batta, Joypur, Lankamura, Moylakhola, Rishi Coloni, Bitarbon , Mullapor----under West Agartala.

Under East Agartala, Pratapgarh, Aralia, Bonkumari, Jogendranagar, Renters Colony, Ravindranagar, Srilanka Bosti, Baldakhal.

At Bodhjungnagar Khayerpur, Banikya Chowmuhani, West Noabari, Amtali.

Under Airport Police station areas under section-144 are Narshingarh, Nabgram, Durgabari, Gandhigram, Bagati, Narayanpur, Usha Bazar.

Jirania--- S Coloni, Block Chowmuhani, Office Tilla, Noabari, Joynagar, Jirania Nagar Panchayat area.

Complete area of Mandai is under section-144.

Radhapur is also under section-144 totally.

Ranir Bazar-------Mohonpur Ranir Bazar market, Naogao,Horijoy Kabra Para, Briddhinagar, Megalibon.

Full area under Lefunga is under section 144.

At Sidhai Hejamara, Barkathal, Serai, Chachu, Shankhola, Panchaboti.

At AD Nagar Nagerjala, Baluchar, South Joynagar, Kolittilla, Bhattapukur, Camper Bazar, Icha Bazar, Kabiraj Tilla.

Complete areas of Amtali and Srinagar are also under Section 144.
