AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): Following a set of violence after 48 hours of the election result in Tripura, CEO Sriram Taranikanti has warned each political parties to restrain them from any kind of violence. Already CEO and DGP held discussion on this post-poll violence issue and already police are engaged to maintain the peace. Addressing the media here in the evening the CEO said, "Already actions are being taken against the offenders and police are active to find out the culprits. DGP A K Sukla has confirmed proper security and the Law is in its course".However, the CEO has assured that no more untoward incident will happen in coming hours. The CEO also asked for noiseless and peaceful environment keeping the ongoing Board exams.Defeated party CPI-M has alleged violence by BJP, whereas BJP top leader today in press conference said that to malign BJP, the CPI-M is doing all these and some unknown faces are instigating the violence representing themselves as BJP.
BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik raised question, "If BJP is spreading violence why BJP activists are only injured ? CPI-M must show a single party activist of them who was injured by BJP, whereas our 49 supporters injured, 17 hospitalized ".
Subal Bhowmik further warned the BJP activists not to step in CPI-M's intrigue and if they are found in any such activity, they will be suspended from the party and also legal, administrative action will be taken against them.
On the other side, CPI-M Minister cum Bishalgarh winner candidate Bhanu Lal Saha said, “Heavy disruptions, violence are ongoing at Bishalgarh by BJP activists. 17 have been injured, 1 house was burnt 44 homes looted, 8 party offices vandalized, one party office burnt. At Charilam all booth offices are vandalized, 6 party offices have been locked, Motor Sramik, Unions offices are occupying by BJP by force”.
For the winner party BJP, CEO said, "You happiness should not harm the board examination students", whereas BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik in the press meet said, "We are 100 % aware about the ongoing Board Exams".
