JAMPUI-JALA, March 1 (TIWN): Seeing the sensitivity of the Jampui-Jala counting center, Election Commission has directed Dist Administration to impose section 144 around 200 meters of that counting center.

The ruling CPI-M party had requested the Election Commission to shift the counting centre from Jampui Jala.

However, Election Commission even though has not shifted the counting centre but 200 metres of the counting area to be blanketed with Section-144.

In a press conference SP Sudipta Das said that the section-144 to be imposed for 12 hours from morning 5 AM.

Tripura election was held on February 18 followed by a set of re-polling on February 26. The counting is scheduled to be conducted on March 3rd.
