AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): Sparking controversy against male dominated Muslim society, Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy has thrown a gruesome attack upon "burqa" saying ''No sane woman can like to be inside a moving tent like a burqa....and that too black, in summer in India.
"Someone gone crazy with religious fervour might, but such women must be very few. This is merely inhuman male religious imposition", added Governor.
Governor was replying a tweet where, somebody wrote, "Burka trend is on the rise and even well educated and well settled women of the cult are wearing it. Clearly indicates that most women are also radicalised which is also confirmed by looking at women terror outfits and stone pelters in j&k and international level too".
A burqa is an enveloping outer garment worn by women in some Islamic traditions to cover themselves in public, which covers the body and the face.
