Tripura gears up for Vote Counting day : Election Commission to train polling officials via video conference

AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): All the polling officials, the service voters to be trained by the election commission through video conference to conduct a flawless counting. The CEO Sriram Taranikanti has announced that already two separate teams are sending for North Tripura and South Tripura and on those places they will join the video conference. In this election there are 6700 service voters including Charilam constituency’s 115 service voters.Keeping the vote counting in front already DMs, SDMs, SPs held meeting with various political parties to dictate their roles and functioning during counting. At the same time, rules and regulations have been dictated to the party leaders as all party leaders to be present on the counting day.CEO Sriram Taranikanti has said that there will be total 59 counting halls during March 3rd's vote-counting.

 Tripura's crucial Assembly Election was conducted on March 18 with a rush of voters waiting in queues after 12 PM in few constituencies and one day after the election the final voting rate was announced as 89.96 %.

"The counting will be conducted in Sectors with 20 locations. Among the 20 sectors for West Tripura at Umakanta Academy the voting counting halls to be set. At Sepahijala Dist we have 2 counting halls : One is Sonamura another is Bishalgarh and 3rd one is Jampui Jala", said Taranikanti."3 counting centres will be at Gomati : One is at Udaipur, another is at Amarpur and the 3rd is at Korbook", he added.

"3 counting centres at South Tripura are Belonia, Santir Bazar, Sabroom", Taranikanti said.

"At North Tripura we have 3 counting centres : Panisagara, Kanchanpur, Dharmanagar and in Uankoti the counting centres are Kailashahar, Kumarghat", the CEO said.

"In Khowai Dist the counting centres are Khowai, Teliamura. In Dhalai Dist the  counting centres are : Kamalpur, Ambassa. Apart from that Jirania and Gandachara will have counting centres", he said.
