AGARTALA, Feb 26 (TIWN): Chakma National Council of India's representatives have strongly condemned that Marma girls' rape at Bangladesh.
Addressing a press conference at Agartala Press Club, Sanatan Talukdar, the President of State Chakma Council said, "On January 22 our two sisters were raped at Bilaichuri of Rangamati in Bangladesh by that country's soldiers. Even though Human Rights and other social organizations had demanded justice for them, no development was observed in that matter".
"Later, the girls were admitted in hospital due to their deteriorating health condition. But on February 15 Chakma Rani Yan Yan was assaulted along with other protesters. The case has remained without any sign of justice", he said.
The Chakma Council also at the press conference bitterly condemned the barbaric incident and demanded bringing the culprits to book.
They also demanded PM Modi's intervention in that issue to fix Sheikh Hasina led Bangladesh administration.
