Dhanpur, Sonamura under tight securities : Indo-Tibet border Police deployed at Sonamura, BSF at Dhanpur for crucial re-polls

DHANPUR / SONAMURA, Feb 25 (TIWN): Election Commission of India is blanketing Dhanpur and Sonamura polling stations with tight security and since the morning heavy security have been deployed at both the places. Whereas Indo-Tibet border Police force have tightened border lined polling areas in Sonamura, BSF have tightened security across Dhanpur, the constituency of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Within 3.30 PM all polling personnel had reached the polling stations today and already almost everything have been set to start the voting process from sharp 7 AM tomorrow at both the polling stations without any delay or hurdle.This time all have been prepared well so that no EVM malfunctioning can be reported like February 18. CRPF, TSR, BSF and State Police are jointly working to hold the 'peace' at there throughout the polling hours.

Apart  from Sonamura and Dhanpur there are 4 more polling stations to witness the re-polls.

The total 6 poll-stations where the re-election to be held tomorrow are : 22-Sonamura, 23-Dhanpur, 28-Teliamura, 40-Sabroom,41-Ampinagar, 54-Kadamtala-Kurti, where the election commission has ordered re-polling.

 In other sub-divisions also the preparation on peak and the Election Commission is not leaving any scope for loopholes. CEO Sriram Taranikanti said, 'This time the webcasting will be more tightly managed as we have enough numbers of machines with us. The webcasting will be done inside the polling stations as well as outside the polling stations towards the queues. The webcasting organizes self-discipline and this time Tripura has witnessed heavy peaceful voting".

A total around 5600 voters to vote tomorrow across 6 constituencies.
