AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN): When CPI-M, BJP are making the VVPAT and EVM problems as big issues, CEO said that there were hardly problems but big issues were made out of simple problems.
The CEO also mentioned that there were only 2.5 % of EVM disturbances and 6.5 in VVPAT even though VVPAT were first time used in state, whereas in some places the officers couldn't identify simple problems like loose plugging etc and the issues became unnecessarily big.
"Let's not go for any statement of anybody. 6 polling stations are very less in numbers and nothing is abnormal in this re-poll. This time from physically challenged people to very old persons had cast their votes and thus delay in poll completion and few other technical issues we had to face, which is very natural to preserve the transparency".
"Nobody will be deprived in the re-poll, but all will get chance to vote again. We have to complete the job in hand first", he added.
