DHARMANAGAR, Feb 22 (TIWN): Once again North Tripura has proven as a smuggling den as one has been arrested today with huge numbers of Ganja packets from Dharmanagar bus-stand on Thursday, whereas 3 more from the gang escaped from the Guwahati-going bus.

Local people nabbed the culprit and immediately called police.But even though police was immediately called, it took 1 an half hour to reach to the spot for police. 

Locals alleged that due to police's late coming 3 more culprits managed to escape from the spot.

However, police said that soon they will find out the all culprits.

One local said, "Dharmannagr Botorshi and few more area have become the zone for illegal drug selling and young boys are openly enjoying ganja, charas in cheaper price. Due to police’s negligence the condition is not at all developing". 

"This is increasing like cancers, spreading faster than AIDS in the society.  Due to the massive illegal Ganja production in Tripura the ganjas are available in every corners of the state. Young boys know in which shop these products are available. The cheap priced drugs available in the state’s markets, have created such situation amidst time to time raids held by police", a local youth said in resentment.
