SANTIRBAZAR / AGARTALA, Feb 8 (TIWN): Angry BJP supporters have allegedly vandalized some left backed party offices at Santir Bazar after they were not provided with vehicles to attend PM Modi’s Election rally at Sonamura.
CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar today in a press conference said, “During PM Modi’s visiting hours, BJP goons had attacked Santirbazar CPI and CITU offices and vandalized. Their claim is CITU has not given cars but it’s fully illogical as vehicles are never given by CITU but they are given by the owners”.
“Election dept has already taken maximum vehicles and few left for normal uses. As a result may be they didn’t get vehicles”.
“But the atmosphere they have created today is totally violent, showing how will be the coming days if BJP comes in power”, said Dhar.
“We condemn the incident and demand arrest of the culprits”, added CPI-M.
