AGARTALA, August 27 (TIWN): Demands were placed to include 385 teachers SPQEM under grant-in-aid of state Government. The teachers who got job under SPQEM are passing days facing lot of hardship. Meanwhile, questions were raised on the future of a section of teacher.
The fate of 58 teachers is hanging on willingness of the state government. An uncertain situation is following them after continuous service of 19 years as Madrassa teacher.
Recently the teachers under SPQEM submitted memorandum to Inspector of school with 8 point charter of demand. The demands that deserve special mention are- implementing the recommendations of Advisory Committee, including 129 Madrassa of SOQEM under Grant-in-aid of state government, providing salary and allowance to Honors teachers according to advertisement of 2010, constituting Madrassa Board to provide salary and allowance according to educational qualification of teachers and arrange B. Ed training for Madrassa teachers along with others.
It is worthy to mention here that State Government has 51 Grant-in-aid Madrassa. Besides, 129 SPQEM Madrassas are there in Tripura. The teachers of SPQEM want to include themselves under Grant- in- aid. Besides, luck of 58 under graduate teachers became uncertain. So demands were placed to bring 385 teachers SPQEM under grant-in-aid of state Government. Madrassa teacher said that state can include them easily as the age of the scheme crossed 10 years.
