AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): CPI-M National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has alleged Tripura's Politics have turned Anti-Left rather than CPI-M Vs. BJP and those who were in Congress earlier are joining in BJP in the name of defeating Left. "The outcome of the assembly elections in Tripura would further push the anti-BJP national politics ahead of the next year's general elections," said Sitarama Yechury. On the other side, BJP Tripura In-Charge Himanta Biswa Sarma said that since the beginning it was BJP's plan to join all anti-left vote banks together to defeat the CPI-M , which is ruling over the state since 25 years.Sitaram Yechury said in Kalyanpur rally, "Depriving poor, farmers, unemployed people, the BJP government at the centre is directly helping the millionaires to loot the country's wealth, who are now begging anti-left vote bank-banks".
Terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi as pro-corporate and anti-farmer, Yechury said that he had made huge number of tall promises but did not execute one of them in four years' rule so far. What about his declaration on unearthing black money and bringing back huge amounts of money stashed abroad by big industrialists?"
"The Narendra Modi-led BJP government by its deliberate policies is making the wealthy people richer and poor people poorer. Unless this government is removed from the Centre in the next election, the country will be in a dire state," Yechury maintained.
Himanta in this regard claimed that since the beginning BJP's aim was to join all anti-Left vote banks together and at the end Left supporters will be in oneside and common people will be in another side. "Nomination papers' submission day's crowd was actual crowd. It was not like that supporters were taken from other places but all of them were locals. No vehicle was also provided, but still the crowd in Bagma, Khowai like areas flooded the roads", added Himanta.
