AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Friday has termed the Union budget as Anti-Poor.

Even though the budget was farmers friendly, but the Chief Minister said it will cause heavy losses to the farmers and poor men.

"All the promises have been made in the budget are bogus, typically meant to help the riches", he said.

Moreover,  CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said here in Agartala, "This budget doesn't come under any Economics, rather it's Jumlanomics. From Health Sector to Education everywhere the Jumlanomics have gripped the budget of the year".

"Prime Minister's Swachh Bharat Mission are like social activities, doesn't match with economy but there is also a down in the budget. So everywhere you can see just the Jumla-Baji of the Govt", he told media.

Talking on the Modi Govt's claims about Govt's Expenditure Yechury said, "It's a lie that Govt is expending more. The Govt intentionally has shown the fiscal deficit down so that it doesn't have to expend more".

"The budget doesn't appeal to raise the resources from the rich rather will collect from public through indirect taxes. But this is a big bonanza for the rich, corporate", added Yechury.
