AGARTALA / SONAMURA, Jan 28 (TIWN): Tripura's lawless era once again exposed when with 'characterless' term a woman was beaten openly by locals today.

TIWN has received shocking footages, where the victim was tied up with a tree and beaten, assaulted physically and verbally by local women.

Her hair was cut forcefully along with injuring her severely. But quite shockingly the ruling as well as opposition parties remained silent without any protest.

When few good people wanted to lodge FIR, Police since the morning stayed reluctant without any action, even though police said that they immediately lodged the complaint.

But media collected the footage within few hours. TIWN Sonamura correspondent's role at there was also significant. When media proved the matter by those footages and put pressures upon police at last police said that proper action will be taken, but nobody has been arrested so far.

The incident took place today at around  8 AM openly in a road at hospital lined area.

Allegation against her was :  "She is breaking a material relationship' of somebody's son" !

Thus, she was assaulted, beaten in broad-day light and also the locals had injured her private parts. 

This incident has shocked the state, even though local people enjoyed the scenario.

 Among all the people standing there, a young man anyhow made the video for long time which helped media also a lot.
