AGRATALA, Jan 28 (TIWN): BJP's nominated former Congress Minister Surajit Datta has kicked off election rally today after from New Delhi his name was announced as Ramanagar candidate.

A massive bike rally was organized for Surajit Datta led by local youths. 

From CPI-M, sitting MLA Ratan Das has been nominated for Ramanagar constituency.

The BJP had announced its 44 candidates' list yesterday evening. Earlier 9 seats were announced as reserved in alliance with the IPFT.

Thus total 53 seats out of 60 have been declared and remaining 7 will be announced shortly.

The last date for nomination papers' submission is on 31st January.
