After BJP Tribal leaders resentment with IPFT’s 9 seats sharing, now Sudip Barman’s groupism is alleged in 51 seats

AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Many tribal leaders working for BJP since many years have expressed resentments as out of 20 seats, IPFT took 9 seats even though the IPFT party has failed to announce total 9 candidates till day. Now with the rest of the 51 seats also, tension have gripped among the BJP activists whether the actual BJP workers who since Sudhindra Dasgupta’s era and even since before were working for the party would get any ticket or not. Sudip Barman groupism were alleged by BJP’s topmost leaders also as a heavy numbers of BJP leaders while joining from Congress, Trinamool they left a condition with BJP that Sudip Barman can’t join the party and except Sudip Barman others are welcomed, but at last Barman had joined with a historical rally.

In this condition, state is now eyeing for BJP’s candidates list as CPI-M after announcing the candidates list also submitted nomination papers. At Belonia, Sudip Barman via Himanta Biswa Sarma tried to recommend Amal Mallik at Belonia, who is around 60 years age but 6 times defeated ex-Congress, TMC candidate.

On the other side, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sriram Taranikanti has announced that the last date for nomination papers’ submission is 31st January and within 3 PM of that date the nomination papers have to be submitted by all the political parties.

Assembly elections in Tripura will be conducted on February 18, while people in Meghalaya and Nagaland will be voting on February 27. Counting of votes in all the three states in the north-east is on March 3.

The code of conduct has come into effect from today in Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura ahead of the assembly elections in these three states since January 18.

All the three states have 60 seats each in their assembly.

In Tripura, ruling CPI-M has announced its candidates names list on January 23rd. Opposition BJP will announce candidates’ list on January 27.
