UDAIPUR, Jan 26 (TIWN): Along with the Capital City Agartala, Gomati District and South Tripura Dist also observed the celebration of the Republic Day on Friday.
The programmes have been organized with the initiatives of the administration of the Gomati District and South Dist.
Besides, various clubs and schools has also observed the day with great enthusiasm. Student of various schools has participated in the tableau.
It is to be mentioned here that the main celebration of the Republic Day has been organized at Assam Riffles School where Governor Tathagata Roy has unfurled the national flag In the presence of Chief Minister and other dignitaries. The day also has been celebrated amid tight security in the State.
To mark the Republic Day, almost all the schools, colleges, and government and non-government organizations was preparing to participate.
It is to be mentioned here that Republic day in India is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm on January 26 to honour the Constitution of India as it came into force on the same day in the year 1950.
However, the Indian Government has declared the day as a national holiday.
However, the Indian Constituent Assembly has adopted the constitution was on 26 November 1949 and it came in to effect on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system.
