AGARTALA, Jan 26 (TIWN): After long silence, on the issue of Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan and DGP A K Shukla's rejection to meet the Governor at Raj Bhawan following Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's order, finally on the 69th Republic Day, Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy while addressing at Assam Rifles ground has hit the Govt of Tripura directly for misleading IAS, IPS officers. Going beyond the scripted speech written for Governor Tathagata Roy by state govt officials, Roy has slammed the Govt of Tripura regarding various misbehaviour it has done with Tathagata Roy since he became the Governor of Tripura before around 3 and half years. Addressing on 69th Republic Day, Tathgata Roy said, "I would like to add my version in the speech as the Assembly Election is on February 18 and code of conducts have come into affect" (to mean that Chief Minister has no role to play now).

"It's true according to constitution that Chief Minister and the Govt  are all in all to control the power and law and order. But, when the State Govt fails to take control over the law and order, the Governor himself has to take the role and bound use his power. If Governor asks the State Govt about any data, the State Govt is bound to deliver it", Roy said.

"However, Tripura's law and order has not totally collapsed and if so I would surely take necessary actions", said Roy.

Governor wanted to know about the law and order condition from Tripura DGP and Chief Secretary recently, but Chief Minister of the state prevented the officers to meet him.

Tripura Governor was addressing standing in front of DGP A K Shula, who along with Chief Justice Sanjeev Ranjan denied to meet the Governor after Chief Minister Manik Sarkar asked them not to go. Rather Melarmath CPI-M Party office said that "A Governor can't call Govt Officers, without CM's permission".

Today in Governor's speech, the script was written planwise to hit his ideology talking repeatedly on "secularism", "religion" amidst India is performing its unity-in-diversity excellent. Thus the Governor has also given his own version which has fallen heavy upon the CPI-M Govt.

However, Governor didn't attack the State Govt directly much, rather he criticized the critics, who said 'A Governor has no role to play in a state'.
