AGARTALA, Jan 25 (TIWN): Amidst CPI-M's allegations against BJP for its nexus with IPFT's Tipraland demand, BJP has announces total 9 : 51 seat sharing with IPFT, but while announcing the seats at Agartala Town Hall, Assam Minister Himata Biswa Sarma said, "BJP and IPFT will only talk on socio-economic-cultural-educational development" issues. Along with that the BJP leader also announced IPFT a member of North-East Democratic Alliance or NEDA, which is comprised of various regional parties of Northeast with the BJP. The Assam Minister said, "Our talks with IPFT regarding seat sharing issues have been completed today. Total 9 seats IPFT has taken in alliance with BJP as part of Anti-Left vote banks". The seats are : 1) Simna, 2) Mandai, 3) Takarjala, 4) Ampi Nagar, 5) Manu (South), 6) Raima Valley, 7) Ramchandraghat, 8) Asharam Bari, 9) Kanchanpur.

However, the joint statement which will clarify the doubts of BJP-IPFT's actual motive behind the poll-alliance will be released officially on January 28, after it gets approval on January 27 from Amit Shah.

"But this joint statement says about the  socio-economic-cultural-educational development, which will come before media on January 28", added Himanta Biswa Sarma.

According to Sarma, IPFT has also now become a member of NEDA. The North-East Democratic Alliance or NEDA is a political coalition that was formed on May 24, 2016 by BJP along with regional political parties like Naga People's Front, Sikkim Democratic Front, People's Party of Arunachal, Asom Gana Parishad and Bodoland People's Front in Northeast India.

Being asked by media, whether IPFT has agreed with 'No Tipraland' demands, Sarma said that such questions are to create problems in BJP's vote banks, but BJP's agreement was not on division of state.

Sunil Deodhar further mentioned about 'One Tripura' (Akhand Tripura) will be BJP's motive.

The Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura was a tribal-based party in Tripura that was a member of the North-East Regional Political Front, a group of political parties of the northeast that have supported the National Democratic Alliance, is born with demand of "Division of Tripura".
