AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): Eventhough some fresh candidates names were expected from CPI-M this time, but 99 % faces were again old and one of them due to sickness can't wear their own shoes by own.

One of the young is eventhough DYFI leader Amal Chakraborty, but still he is nearly 50, passing 2-3 decades since SFI to DYFI leadership. CPI-M could easily pick some fresh popular faces as Nabarun Deb just as Jhumu Sarkar is at Barjala.

This is not a criticism of oldage but young vote banks matters a huge, but the elder comrades failed to give up their positions resulted 90 % candidates are old.

Only 12 candidates are new names and among them only 10 are new faces whereas Jharna Das Baidya is again old face.

Thus, CPI-M has totally failed to introduce new fresh blood and once again even after 2 times of candidates names list's delaying , CPI-M has announced list with old faces.

The list itself shows the infightings of the CPI-M across maximum constituencies.
