AGARTALA, August 25 (TIWN): CPIM Candidate Prabhat Chowdhury and BJP Candidate Nirmal Tripura filed their nomination paper for upcoming Manu By-Election on Monday. However Trinamool Congress had announced their candidate Anaitha Mog yesterday.
Today CPIM Candidate Prabhat Chowdhury had filed his nomination paper for the upcoming Manu By-election. At morning Mr. Chowdhury along with huge supporters organized a rally. Bikes and cars throng into a large number in the rally from Kalacherra to Monu Bazaar to support their candidate.
After the rally candidate Mr. Chowdhury filed his nomination to the returning officer. On the other hand BJP Candidate Nirmal Tripura also submitted his nomination to the Returning Officer. Other than Trinamool Congress had selected Anaitha Mog as their candidate for the upcoming By-election. Both the candidate of Congress, Trinomial and INPT will file their nomination within Wednesday.
The last date of filing of nomination is scheduled to be 27th August; scrutiny on 28th August and last day of withdrawal of nomination will be 30th August. Meanwhile eight monitoring team was constituted by the election commission for the upcoming by – poll of Manu constituency schedule to hold on September 13.
The teams are –video surveillance team, video viewing team, accounting team, flying squad, static surveillance team, media certification and monitoring team, media expenditure monitoring control room and expenditure monitoring cell.
