AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): Whereas the CPI-M Ministers, MPs during Agartala-Udaipur inauguration began all Anti-Modi propaganda and revised a well plotted story of CPI-M’s railway move since 80’s era, Tripura BJP State President Biplab Deb and Sunil Deodhar gave a surprise to the ruling party leaders when the video conference began. It was seen that the BJP leaders were already sitting in Suresh Prabhu’s chamber. As a part of diplomacy of State-Centre relation Manik Sarkar met Suresh Prabhu at New Delhi before the inauguration programme. But the BJP leaders on Wednesday during the main inaugural programme tried to draw mass attention by sitting with Suresh Prabhu at his office. Whereas CPI-M organized a grand programme to gather the public support from this inaugural programme and to represent CPI-M’s concern about Railway development in the state, BJP had confirmed the ‘equal-mass attention’ by flying at New Delhi. None of the opposition MLAs were invited at Agartala Railway Station on Wednesday, but the BJP leaders have fully downed the expectation of CPI-M leaders with their surprise meeting.
However, question remains how far the BJPs in Tripura will be able to gather the vote banks with the help of e Central Minister and how mass the continuous flying of Biplab Deb to New Delhi will be fruitful for Assembly Election 2016.
After the flag off was finished at New Delhi, Tripura CPI-M MP Jiten Chowdhury said mockingly to the press, “These two leaders of Tripura must be covered by cameramen…!”
It’s worthy to mention here that Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu flagged off Udaipur-Agartala passenger train service through a video conference from New Delhi. This inaugural session witnessed much enthusiasm among the local people. NFR officials, Tripura Police High Officials and other Govt officials remained present on that occasion.
A K Yadav, Chief Executive officer NFR construction welcomed the guests at Agartala Railway Station.
In his welcome address Yadav said, "There are 3 stations till Udaipur : Sekerkote, Bisramganj and Udaipur. This project is a part of linking whole NE with BG line".
Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu flagged off the train from New Delhi at 3 PM via video conferencing. Prabhu confirmed that in coming days the budget for NE will be increased more and more trains will come in Tripura.
