Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 14 (TIWN) The district collectors of Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, and Kasargod districts in Kerala have declared a holiday on Monday for schools and colleges, due to heavy rains.

The district collector said that all educational institutions in Alappuzha will remain closed tomorrow. District Collector has announced a holiday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in Kollam district. The District Collector of Pathanamthitta has announced holiday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in the district tomorrow. However, the services of teachers and non-teaching staff in all government-paid institutions should be made available on request by the officers designated by the District Disaster Management Authority / Authority.
