K'taka orders probe into BJP MLA's phone tapping charges

Bengaluru, June 18 (TIWN) The Karnataka government has ordered a probe into the telephone tapping allegations levelled by ruling Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Aravind Bellad, said Basavaraj Bommai, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Home Affairs, on Friday.
Speaking to newsmen, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that Bellad had complained of phone tapping. He said he has asked the Bengaluru city police commissioner to conduct an inquiry and submit a report with facts. If there's any truth, an action will be taken against the guilty, he said. Bellad had lodged a complaint with Assembly Speaker Visweshwar Hegde Kageri and Bommai seeking an inquiry.
