Kolkata, May 21 (TIWN) Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who lost to BJP's Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram, is likely to contest from Bhawanipur.

"TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee likely to contest by-poll from Bhabanipur (sic)," news agency PTI reported, citing sources. Earlier, Chattopadhyay, a veteran TMC leader had hinted that he will vacate the Bhawanipore assembly seat, three weeks after he won elections from there.

According to a PTI report, Chattopadhyay is likely to contest from Khardah seat where the by-poll has been necessitated after the death of TMC party leader Kajal Sinha.
