AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): CPI-M on Thursday staged massive protest curriculum against increasing criminal activities against women. Recently, a famous folk singer of the State was harassed by mob openly and as it went viral on social media, people across the state erupted outrage against it.
CPI-M leaders including Ex-Minister Ratan Bhowmik held massive protest curriculum against the constant criminal activities on women. The agitators strongly condemned the barbaric crime of Hathras, UP that led a dalit girl lost her life pathetically. The agitators also raised voice against the unsafe atmosphere for women in Tripura mentioning the recent shameful act of assaulting a folk singer openly.
However, during the protest former Minister Ratan Lal Nath was harassed by police. The leader then told media that all the agitators were harrassed by police during the protest march. They were conducting the curriculum peacefully and were following the police instructions too, said the leader. He also said that police and government can not stop them to raise their voice against such criminal activities.
