After the horrifying death of pregnant Elephant in Kerala, this time Leopard killed brutally in Guwahati, seven arrested

GUWAHATI, June 8 (TIWN): Amid the ongoing outrage over the death of pregnant elephant, a shocking incident of animal cruelty has come to light from katabari area of Guwahati. A leopard was allegedly illegally trapped and then brutally beaten to death by the villagers on Sunday.
After lynching the leopard the locals sliced off it's body parts. After hacking the animal a group of locals celebrated wildly with the carcass and pulled out it's teeth.
According to forest officials , the leopard entered the area from hills and was trapped by locals under the Fatasil reserve forest in Guwahati.
The city police have arrested seven person on this case till now. The body of the big cat has been sent for post mortem for further investigation.
