AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): Law Minister Ratanlal Nath who promised to expose the corruption took place in Health dept by Saturday (April 25), has crossed two days already without any updates. Ratan Lal promised to open his mouth on this serious scam by Saturday but what exactly happened, it is unknown to media yet as of Monday. On April 24, Tripura Govt has ordered investigation in sanitizer and mask purchasing deals, removing Health Secretary Debasish Basu and NHM Director Aditi Choudhury from posts. In a press meet, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath on Friday announced this, which has shaken the state. The Minister did not mention, whether the both officials are involved in any scam or not, neither told media clearly about any scam happened exactly or not. But, Additional Chief Secretary S K Rakesh has been appointed as Health Secretary. The investigation will be done by Secretary Kiran Gitte and Finance Secretary Tanushree Debbarma.
Ratanlal Nath said, “Few newspapers have alleged corruption in NHM items purchasing. Following those reports, Chief Minister has ordered inquiry. Whoever is responsible will be immediately punished. Such an order by any CM whether given in past, I do not have any such knowledge”.
“I am going to open my mouth tomorrow with all details ! I have documents right now, but let the investigation end. Tomorrow I will make you (Media Persons) surprise”, said Ratanlal Nath to media on April 24 but yet nothing has been exposed by him.
“Health Officers were removed for proper investigation so that they can not do interfere. Let me tell you, a committee is there for monitoring that. Whatever happened was known by the committee. I have told you enough and tomorrow I will expose the whole thing”, Nath told media.
