AGARTALA, April 19 (TIWN): A 9 month’s pregnant woman was attempted to be raped by a miscreant at Matinagar, under Kamalasagar. Amtali Police have taken FIR against the accused, who has already managed to escape. A case was registered against one Pichan Miah in the Amtali Police station. Police visited the victim’s home, talked to family members, locals and investigation has been started. Police said that the accused will be arrested at the earliest. Local people have demanded justice and strict punishment to the culprit. The woman left mentally and physically sick after such an incident happened with her when she is 9 month’s pregnant.The victim was injured after she attempted to shout and accused Pichan Mia then injured her on head and knifed her on her body, tried to kill her baby. Victim’s mother-in-law saved her from the miscreant and from then, he is escaped.

The accused in hide now and local people also reported that accused Pichan Miah had many bad reports earlier and totally an anti-social person.
